The Staff Accountant will work with a team of accounting professionals to support an accurate and efficient close for various processes and accounts, with a focus on prepaids, accruals, and inter-company transactions. 

The Staff Accountant will work with a team of accounting professionals to support the following;

  • Verify the accurate recognition of prepaid and accruals specific to field and branch operations

  • Perform monthly reviews of prepaids and accruals to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Record insurance reserve adjustments and maintain supporting documentation

  • Offer  analysis and insight to various functions to support growth initiatives in the business

  • Align with accounting leadership as necessary to ensure intercompany balances are accurate

  • Work with FP&A business partners for development of accurate forecast and analysis

  • Work with manager on assigned controls and ensure controls are in compliance with company policy with a focus on a risk-based approach

  • Assist with the identification & implementation of areas for efficiency, automation and acceleration within the close process

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and detailed fluctuation analysis for accounting leadership

  • Ensure security and integrity of financial information

  • Assist with Internal and External Audits

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance fields

  • Experience with multi-unit organization

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field or equivalent relevant experience - Required 

  • Masters in finance, accounting or related field - Preferred
