Geospatial Solutions Architect

Overview:

NV5 Geospatial is interviewing for an experienced Geospatial Solutions Architect specializing in deploying, monitoring, and managing complex ArcGIS Enterprise solutions in Azure and AWS.  The selected candidate will join a talented team of cloud engineers and architects to support a variety of clients, ranging from city governments to national corporations.  

Work Environment:

• Location is flexible, but preference given to Mountain and Pacific time zones
• Travel up to <15% of the time
• Monthly maintenance outside of typical business hours required

• Design, deploy, secure, manage, and maintain complex test/dev/prod environments for ArcGIS Enterprise infrastructure on Azure and/or AWS
• Design, secure, and administer SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL on Azure and/or AWS
• Evaluate current cloud infrastructure and recommend improvements to security, scalability, and cost
• Support best practices related to security, application optimization, business processes, and issue resolutions
• Attend standup meetings and report progress to team
• Develop, support, and consult on project plans & schedules with clients
• Develop system specification, best practice, standard operating procedure, and training materials 

Experience Required:

• Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, upgrading, and administering ArcGIS Enterprise solutions in Azure and/or AWS
• Experience deploying and administering ArcGIS Enterprise solutions on Linux
• Experience of SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL database configuration and administration
• Proven experience working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in geography, technology, science, engineering, or another related field; or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience or equivalent supporting IT/GIS system and data integration projects with the ability to deploy complex architectures in Azure and/or AWCompetencies & Skills
• Prior experience with machine learning & image interpretation of multispectral imagery

Experience/Skills Preferred (in addition to requirements):

• Azure Associate-level Certification
• Experience automating software deployments in the cloud
• Experience in scripting languages, particularly python
