About the role: 

Digital.ai’s “Developing Secure, Quality Mobile Application Solution” combines Application Protection, Application Testing and supporting Metrics. It is a solution that helps Global 1000 enterprises innovate and deliver secure, quality software that can protect Intellectual Property (IP), customer data and brand reputation by building security into applications whilst balancing the need for performance, accessibility, and operational efficiency. Our solutions help security, testing and application leaders ‘shift-left’ to add security and quality at the build stage and protect apps by securing the CI/CD pipeline, obfuscating code without requiring developers and testers to learn new techniques, preventing reverse engineering, and tampering of applications.  The DACH Senior Sales Engineer for Quality will drive business development and sales growth by providing technical expertise, principally focused on the quality aspects of application development and aligned with Digital.ai’s security, quality and quality-metrics products. The role will emphasise technical discovery and solution alignment to customer needs for application production as part of their wider DevSecOps strategy, applying technical knowledge to develop solutions that support Digital.ai’s sales goals. 

 

In this role, you can expect to: 

  • Lead as a domain expert in Digital.ai Application Quality products, as the technical lead on strategic client relationships across industry verticals. 
  • Position mobile quality best practices based on Digital.ai’s Continuous Testing (formerly known as Experitest) platform and support Quality Metrics. 
  • Lead sales engineering activities, including technical discovery, technical qualification, value proposition to technical mapping, architectural and quality best practices, marketing campaign support, RFP responses, and maintaining key-client technical relationships. 
  • Ability to provide expert guidance on application quality best practices, accessibility, telemetric and voice control, and other quality concepts, emphasising mobile and web application development, release management, automation, and IT operations. 
  • Ability to position quality best practices, working with other domain experts across the Sales Engineering and wider Product Teams as appropriate. 
  • Ability to understand basic DevOps principles like Build-, Release-, Deployment-Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code principles and tools like TerraForm and Ansible and connect those with the AppSec and Test Automation topics 
  • Basic understanding of scaled agile principles like SAFe or equivalent processes 
  • Establish and understand the Digital.ai technology portfolio, key go-to-market solutions, competitive landscape and analyst predictions. 
  • Help sell and foster ongoing customer success, emphasising Enterprise clients in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland (DACH). 
  • Work closely with key decision-makers on demos and proof-of-values to ensure the product or solution meets the client’s business and technical objectives. 
  • Build positive relationships with account executives, customer support, and the wider account team as well as technology partners 
  • Travel internationally within the DACH territory, the EMEA region and occasionally internationally. 
  • Keen to be a speaker on conference, community and partner events 

 

What you'll bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar programme from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience  
  • 5+ years of Technical Pre-Sales / Sales Engineering experience in the Application Quality domain or equivalent experience as a practitioner 
  • Ability to conduct technical discovery and qualification of prospect’s needs. 
  • Self-motivated and can project manage proof of value engagements. 
  • Displayed proficiency with Appium, Selenium, Playwright and other related testing technologies to conduct proof-of-values. 
  • Mobile application development experience is a huge plus. 
  • Exposure to quality and testing solutions suitable for mobile development is preferred. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse, globally distributed team.
