Our client has over 20 years of experience helping hundreds of companies set up and operate in Hong Kong, across a range of industries. Our client has broad experience in advising entrepreneurs and corporates on everything from business establishment and market entry, to ownership, corporate structuring, and governance, to financial & operational issues.

Our client is currently a Gold Xero Partner and is still expanding rapidly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a full set of accounts for a portfolio of clients in Xero or QuickBooks as required Preparation of monthly reports for the internal purpose of the client
  • Preparation of year-end financial statements
  • Coordinate annual audit
  • Ensure that financial reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards
  • Assist external auditors and provide required statements and information for the annual audit Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Managing of bank accounts and payments.
  • Liaising with the suppliers of the client and monitoring of deliveries.
  • Include receivables and payables
  • Budgeting and forecasting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in industries such as wine, retail/wholesale e-commerce, or trading.
  • Proficiency with Xero accounting software is required; familiarity with Microsoft or Google environments is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently, while also collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Some experience in accounting, with the ability to coordinate work across multiple client accounts.
  • Ability to perform bookkeeping tasks accurately.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Advantageous Skills:

  • Experience in an international trading company or with international clients is advantageous.
  • An experience in outsourcing company is a plus.
  • Experience working in a Hong Kong company, firm, or with outsourcing/international clients/staff is a plus.
  • Experience working with Western clients is a plus.
  • Experience in stable companies previously or currently is preferred.
  • CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with handling tax returns is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a remote work setting
