Systems Engineer

Overview:

SOFTSWISS continues to expand the team and is looking for a Systems Engineer. We need a true, experienced, and accomplished professional who shares our culture and values.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaboration with product development teams
• Gitlab CI pipelines (development, support)
• Automate infrastructure components
• Setup and maintain infrastructure for production/staging environments
• Participate in the launch of new projects
• Participate in the design of complex IT systems
• React to monitoring events (periodical day/night duties)
• Communication with product developers, managers, and stakeholders

Key technologies:

• Saltstack
• ELK
• Postgresql
• Redis
• Kafka
• MongoDB
• Vault
• Kubernetes
• Gitlab
• Zabbix/Prometheus + Grafana

Experience needed:

• 5+ years of experience as a system engineer or SRE/DevOps
• Experience with configuration management systems (Puppet / Chef / Ansible / Saltstack)
• Experience with container application virtualization systems and orchestration tools (preferably with k8s)
• Experience with distributed systems
• Experience in IT system design
• Development experience with any scripting language
• Good understanding of Linux-like operating systems
• Experience with relational databases (preferably) and NoSQL solutions
• Experience with monitoring systems (Prometheus stack/Zabbix)
• Experience with log aggregating systems (ELK/EFK stack)
• Intermediate or higher English (B1+)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Helm
• Experience with cloud provider services
• Experience with workflow in Agile like framework (e.g. Kanban)
