Your missions

Why CAST AI?

CAST AI is the leading Kubernetes cost optimization platform for AWS, GCP and Azure customers. The company is on a mission to deliver a fully automated Kubernetes experience. What’s unique about CAST AI is that its platform goes beyond monitoring clusters and making recommendations; it utilizes advanced machine learning algorithms to analyze and automatically optimize clusters, saving customers 50% or more on their cloud spend, improving performance and reliability, and boosting DevOps and engineering productivity.

To date, the company has raised $73M from investors including Cota Capital, Creandum, Uncorrelated Ventures, and Vintage Investment Partners. CAST AI has more than 170 employees globally and is headquartered in Miami, Florida.

However, this is merely the beginning. Our product roadmap is filled with exciting innovations that are yet to come, and we’re on track for unicorn status by 2025. We are searching for intelligent, motivated, and self-reliant people to help us fulfill this ambitious mission.

Culture

Here at CAST AI, we’re a high conviction, high ambition environment, where every idea is a launchpad and every challenge is an opportunity to break new ground. We thrive in the fast lane, fueled by an entrepreneurial spirit that drives us to dream big, set audacious goals, and chase them relentlessly. The product we’re making is the behind the scenes engine powering some of the most successful and world-changing tech out there, and our team is no less special.

Collaboration isn't just a buzzword; it's the lifeblood of our success, as we work together to disrupt industries, revolutionize the way we work, and leave a legacy that extends far beyond a traditional startup.

If you're fueled by powering tomorrow’s tech and ready to dive headfirst into a career defining opportunity, then join us and become part of our high-octane, boundary-pushing team at CAST AI.

Core values that hold us all together

PRACTICE CUSTOMER OBSESSION. Focus on the customer journey and work backwards. Strive to deliver customer value and continuously solve customer problems. Listen to customer feedback, act, and iterate to improve customer experience.

LEAD. Take ownership and lead through action. Think and act on behalf of the entire company to build long-term value across team boundaries.

DEVELOP AND HIRE THE BEST. Strive to raise the performance bar by continuously investing in yourself, the team and by hiring the best possible candidates for every position. Drive towards personal development and professional growth, and mentor others to raise the collective bar.

EXPECT AND ADVOCATE CHANGE. Strive to innovate and accept the inevitable change that comes with innovation. Constantly welcome new ideas and opinions. Share insights responsibly with unwavering openness, honesty, and respect. Once a path is chosen, be ready to disagree and commit to a direction.

Role overview

As our very first Lead People Business Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our company culture, influencing at the highest levels of the org, and co-building a high performing People function from its early beginnings.

In this strategic and senior role, you'll collaborate closely with executives and leadership to develop and implement People strategies that drive generational business outcomes.

If you're passionate about the People function as a key competitive differentiator, and ready to take on a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Act as the right-hand person to the Chief People Officer across all areas of the People function—you’ll play an instrumental leadership role with significant ownership.
  • You’ll own all of People Business Partnership and Talent Development for our organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to your assigned teams on People-related matters, providing guidance and support on talent management, organizational development, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Drive business unit strategic planning to align People goals with overall business objectives.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and execs on performance management, conflict resolution, and employee development.
  • Own engagement survey action planning.

Interview Process

We aim to be as transparent as possible within our organization, as such, here’s an idea of what you can expect along the way in this hiring process (some steps may change as we fine tune the process).

The interview process is designed to be as fair and objective as possible, giving us mutually many touchpoints and opportunities to check for a good match (this role is incredibly important to us, and so is your time!)

  1. Initial Screening Call, Recruiter: A brief introductory call to learn more about your background, experience, compensation expectations, and career aspirations. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the role and our company culture.
  2. First Interview, People team: We’ll dive deeper into your skills, experiences, and alignment with our company values. We'll discuss your past experiences, HR philosophies, and how you approach building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  3. Second Interview, Leadership: You'll have the opportunity to meet with a key exec within our organization. This interview will focus on assessing your strategic thinking, ability to collaborate cross-functionally, and partnership skills.
  4. Paid Work Sample: We’ll ask you to work on a micro project with us (max: 5 hours of your time) to showcase your approach.
  5. Final Interview, Cultural Fit: You'll meet with a member of our team to discuss our company culture and values.
  6. Reference Check: If all goes successfully and we want you to join, we’ll ask you to connect us with 2-3 past colleagues (typically managers and past execs you partnered with) to hear more about your working relationships. This step also helps us better set you up for success by learning from those who collaborated with you in the past.
  7. Offer: If you're the right fit, we'll extend a formal offer to join our team.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a strategic HR/ People Business Partner role.

  • Proven track record of driving HR initiatives and programs that contribute to business success.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
