Database Developer (Hybrid in Stodůlky)

We are looking for a Database Developer as a long-term addition to the Financial Markets product team within the Markets Technology tribe and another team in Risk Data Solutions. Our team is responsible for applications for executing Investment Banking product trades. You will become a member of a smaller group of developers in our tribe, but also part of the SDLC (Software Delivery Lifecycle Center of Expertise) team with more than five hundred developers. We are primarily a technologically oriented bank that has been investing in modern technologies, development and operation methods, and, above all, in the development of developers. As part of the SMART OFFICE concept, we come to the office 1-2 days a week, the rest of the time we work from home. We set our working hours outside of the "core hours," when we must be available, according to the current needs of our squads.

About the team:

The team is currently involved in connecting systems, where we collaborate with colleagues from France on a new solution for trading investment instruments. Next year, we will work on a new digital bank and further collaboration with SG on developing our applications. At the same time, we continuously refactor existing solutions to newer technologies. There is no shortage of interesting and challenging work. In the team, you will mainly collaborate with other roles - product owner, business specialist, analyst, .NET developer, testing specialist, and agile coach. A buddy, an experienced colleague with deep knowledge of the issues and our solutions built on Oracle/PostgreSQL, will guide you. We do not follow a waterfall model; instead, we prepare the product agilely, actively from customer-centric UX and service design, through cloud-native implementation to DevOps deployment and operation. The entire team thus participates in designing the solution from design, through implementation to its deployment in production and support.

What to do:

• Design and implementation of relational models for Oracle/PostgreSQL databases
• Migration of procedures and data between Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Data analysis and technical design according to business requirements
• Development and optimization of queries
• Refactoring existing database solutions (modifying procedures, functions, jobs in Oracle DB)

You have:

• Experience with developing and managing solutions within a relational database for at least 3 years (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience with PL/SQL Developer or Oracle SQL Developer tools
• Knowledge of Power Designer for developing and managing models
• Familiarity with PL/pgSQL
• Understanding of investment banking products and operations
• Data analysis and development of DWH solutions in Teradata/Bigdata/Datamesh
• Creating data layers and resulting reports in Power BI
