Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to enhance and maintain an existing internal management application.
• Utilize Linux, MySQL, and PHP with Homebrew to develop, maintain, and improve Restful APIs for seamless data interaction.
• Implement and maintain the frontend using Backbone.js to ensure a responsive and user-friendly interface.
• Design and develop microservices using Kafka for efficient communication between components.
• Ensure strong RDBMS and SQL skills are applied to optimize database performance and query efficiency.
• Deploy and manage application components on AWS to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and provide technical guidance as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proficient in Linux, MySQL, and PHP with Homebrew for backend development.
• Experience in building, maintaining, and enhancing Restful APIs for seamless data exchange.
• Strong understanding of RDBMS and SQL for efficient database management and query optimization.
• Familiarity with AWS services for deployment and management of application components.
• Intermediate proficiency in JavaScript for frontend development.
• Intermediate proficiency in PHP for backend development.
• Experience with microservices architecture, particularly using Kafka for message brokering.
• Knowledge of Docker for containerization and deployment.
• Experience with Agile methodologies for project management.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git for collaborative development.
• Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
• Self-motivated with a passion for learning and keeping up with industry trends and technologies.
  
  

About The Position

• Full-time job - 40h/week.
• Independent Contractor.
• 100% Remote – Latam based.
