Summary


Intellum’s Security Risk Analyst will report to the Director of IT & Security and will be responsible for handling customer risk assessments and contract reviews, conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies, managing external audits such as SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA, and overseeing the vendor risk assessments process. This position requires a hands-on technical specialist with a strong background in IT security and data privacy, capable of managing complex and detailed security-related tasks, ensuring robust security practices, and maintaining data privacy standards across the enterprise.


Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate security policies to staff and manage security awareness programs 
  • Create and maintain IT security policies to ensure they are current. 
  • Manage and maintain Intellum’s internal vendor risk assessment process.
  • Perform and Manage internal recurring security audits
  • Maintaining corporate Security Certifications (i.e. SOC2 Type2, HIPAA, ISO)
  • Collaborate with other teams to complete security questionnaires from potential and current customers, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Participate in the assessment, identification, development, and implementation of internal controls and safeguards to mitigate and eliminate potential risks, threats, and exposures.
  • Monitor, manage, and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and controls; ensure compliance and effectively resolve information system/security-related concerns.

Required Skills

  • IT Security Experience: 3+ years of experience in IT security and 5+years of general IT experience (IT degree preferred).
  • Security Initiatives: Ability to advance security initiatives while fostering a culture of support and assistance.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical background, with experience in creating and maintaining IT security policies, internal and vendor risk assessments, and conducting security audits.
  • Compliance Management: Proficient in managing and maintaining corporate security certifications such as SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and ISO.
  • Customer Collaboration: Experience working with teams to complete security questionnaires from potential and current customers efficiently and accurately.
  • Risk Assessment: Skilled in assessing, identifying, developing, and implementing internal controls and safeguards to mitigate and eliminate potential risks.
  • Policy Adherence: Ability to monitor, manage, and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and controls, and effectively resolve information system/security-related concerns.
  • Cloud Environments: High level of skill working in and understanding AWS and GCP cloud environments, including user access, device roles, and firewalls/security groups.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to ground decisions in data and reasoning, focusing on solving root causes of problems.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to convey relevant information clearly and concisely.
  • Organization: Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while leading IT security initiatives.
