Sr Tableau Data Intelligence Specialist - remote opportunity

Description/Responsibilities:

As our Senior Tableau Data Intelligence Specialist, you will be responsible for the ongoing support of existing Tableau data solutions, as well as development of new functionality to include reports, dashboards, and sophisticated business intelligence solutions, to enable colleagues to support tactical and strategic decision making.  You will work closely with business teams and other stakeholders to gain an understanding of business goals and objectives to ensure the systems and their capabilities support competitive research efforts that achieve those goals.

• Manage and execute various Tableau reporting projects within the organization.
• Train report developers to leverage Snowflake data source for the development of Tableau reports.
• Lead teams to develop Tableau reports base upon company standards and business requirements.

• • Designs and builds complex solutions including reports, scorecards, and dashboards, based on specifications as requested.
  • Understands complex business requirements and translates into technical specifications.
  • Performs complex data analysis and system profiling to create clear data definitions.
  • Creates meaningful, end-user friendly documentation that allows others to quickly understand or get up to speed.
  • Provides enterprise support to increase adoption of self-service analytics in the form of responding to online requests, best practice demonstrations and webinar/forum presentations.
  • Provide training to Tableau users and serve as a Tableau subject matter expert for Tivity
  • Define information standards, guidelines, principles, and best practices
  • Define the process for capturing data models, and the data flows to inform data architecture decisions across the organization

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience will be considered
• 6+ years of experience in data analysis and dashboard development in Tableau is required

• Understand business needs and translate them into reporting solutions
• Tableau Online Administration - manage Tableau permissions, row-level security, create groups and troubleshoot issues and process failures
• Provide training to Tableau users and serve as subject matter expert for Tivity
• Troubleshoot data issues in reports and modify Snowflake data as needed
• Understanding of data pipelines, experience creating and optimizing ETL workflows
• Experience creating and updating data sources that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
• Experience delivering BI solutions in Agile BI delivery methodology
• Prior experience in Healthcare (Nice to have)
• Experience using Python and/or using Tableau’s REST API (Nice to have)
• Ability to write complex SQL queries joining data from disparate data sources
• Experience working with Snowflake data warehouse, Postgres, and AWS S3 structured and unstructured data is a plus
• Experience with Tableau Prep
• Strong communications skills – written & verbal with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
• Reliable problem-solving skills
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as effectively interact and communicate with teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and anticipate the needs of a changing landscape
