Senior Director of Military Installation Support

Salary Range:

$135,689.69 - $189,965.58

Job Description Summary:

As a member of the Enterprise Solutions Management Team, this position provides leadership, management, financial accountability, compliance, strategic planning, and directional oversight to the Procurement Solutions team. This position is directly responsible for establishing and achieving Revenue and Margin goals for procurement solutions. This position establishes 3-year plans to ensure these solutions meet growth goals.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assume overall responsibility for achieving the P&L (Revenue and Margin) goals for Procurement Solutions
  • Direct activities of unit managers to achieve their P&L goals for all procurement solutions.
  • Lead the development of 3-year plans for Revenue and Margin.
  • Lead the process of developing annual plans and initiatives to support the growth of Procurement Solutions.
  • Support and participate in annual organizational planning as requested.
  • Lead the development of Revenue and Margin (expense) budgets for the Procurement Solutions team and assign Revenue and Margin goals for each solution.
  • Manage the cost centers for the Procurement Solutions team to maximize Revenue and Margin.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that these areas budget appropriately to support the Revenue and Margin goals for the Incubator program.
  • Direct the activities of the Procurement Solutions team
  • Provide leadership to assigned business units to ensure that these units operate effectively within Sourcewell, support our overall mission, and apply our values in all interactions.
  • Lead the assigned directors by delegating authority to operate and manage their business units while providing oversight to ensure that these units comply with all compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Direct the development of processes to develop and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers and the Supplier Development team to ensure that the suppliers fully support the ISP solution and that their support for our Cooperative Purchasing Program is maintained or increased.
  • Direct the development of processes to engage with internal stakeholders for Procurement Solutions. This includes Procurement, Legal, Government Relations, IT, and Finance
  • Ensure training programs are in place so that each solution team follows best practices for managing and engaging with both suppliers and clients.
  • Ensure that each business unit has access to and uses outside resources (including consultants and data providers) to increase the impact that their teams make.
  • Design and manage customer relationships through the use of various tools to ensure that feedback from customers is collected and that customers are satisfied.
  • Direct the establishment of strategic partnerships or outside consulting engagements
  • Establish policies and procedures for the Incubator team to identify needs for strategic partnerships or outside consulting support.
  • Identify, engage, and negotiate with strategic partners or outside consultants to provide the greatest value to Sourcewell.
  • Collaborate with Legal to develop standardized agreements to engage with strategic partners or outside consultants.
  • Direct the overall management of Procurement Solutions team members
  • Supervise, develop, train, and mentor assigned staff and ensure that they effectively manage and supervise their assigned staff.
  • Provide strategic direction and actionable goals to ensure that the entire team understands how their performance impacts department, division and organizational strategies and goals.
  • Work with internal leadership to determine staffing needs and ensure the team has appropriate headcount to support growth plans.

  • Develop and lead the team to become open, transparent, innovative, and collaborative manner with the Sourcewell team and external partners.
  • Represent Sourcewell and solutions within the incubator
  • Represent Sourcewell and Procurement Solutions at internal events, board meetings and retreats.
  • Represent Sourcewell and Procurement Solutions at civic and social functions by attending local, regional, state, and national meetings, and conferences.
  • Attend and present at conferences, trade shows, supplier meetings, client meetings and other public events.
  • Other related areas and duties as assigned

Additional Job Description:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
  • Seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in sales management, P&L management. business development, account management, client relations/development, or other directly related experience OR
  • A combination of post-secondary training, professional education, and related experience equivalent to eleven (11) years
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Public speaking and presentation experience
  • Budget design and management experience
  • Five (5) years demonstrated supervisory/leadership experience
  • Experience in strategic planning
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in related field of study
  • Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in sales management, P&L management, business development, account management, client relations/development, or other directly related experience
  • Seven (7) years of demonstrated supervisory/leadership experience
  • Experience working with both private and public sector entities

Salary Range:

  • Grade 19, exempt, $135,689.69 - $189,965.58, commensurate with experience.
