Overview:

As a Regional Sales Trainee, you will join our WernerCo UK Sales Academy, designed to accelerate your development and expose you to a variety of exciting business careers. Intial responsibilities will include working as part of our sales team, as you to build an excellent working knowledge of our products and customers, additionally providing you with the exposure to key internal departments including: Marketing, Logistics, Product Development, Manufacturing and Finance.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities – Essential Job Functions:

 

Working as a field sales trainee to build a thorough knowledge of our products and customers, this will include:

  • Product training and demonstration
  • Store POS maintenance
  • Market information gathering
  • Producing layout plans for stores
  • Maintaining awareness of competitors performance
  • Monitoring slow selling products
  • Monthly reporting
  • Participating in sales meetings, workshops, and team-building events
  • Gathering as much information on the company and participating in on-the-job training wherever possible.
  • Taking notes on experiences and keeping a log of things learned.
  • Compiling reports and making presentations to other team members.
  • Analysing existing systems and offering new ideas for improvement.
  • Bringing positive energy into the company and forming lasting professional relationships.
  • Undertaking project work across various professional functions in the company to drive business improvement.
  • Upholding the good name of the company at all times.
  • Submitting an evaluation at the end of the Sales Academy.

You will work closely with both the Account Manager and customer on agreeing a model stock inventory for each store, ensuring the correct point of sale material is supplied and positioned prominently for the maximum brand awareness and make certain that the promotion of specific products and services will increase sales over a period of time.

The Regional Sales Trainee role, will also include shadowing various team members, participating in learning experiences, attending meetings and workshops, and travelling to other working environments to gain practical experience.

 

You should be willing to learn about aspects of the company that lie outside of your department and foster good relationships with the UK team, to leave a lasting imprint.

Qualifications:

 

Experience & Education

  • Must possess GCSE Maths and English grade A – C / 9 – 4.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Previous work experience would be an advantage.

  • Must be self-motivated, organised, and able to adapt quickly to changing demands.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required to interact with all levels of the UK team and customers.
  • Ability to build excellent relationships.

  • A positive attitude and a growth mindset.

 

Special Physical Requirements: ­­­

  • Frequent UK travel; must hold a valid full driver’s licence.
