Your missions

Overview:

If you’re looking for a high-energy, inclusive atmosphere or a company that understands the importance of work/life balance, Commonwealth is your match! From generous bonus and 401(k) programs to tuition reimbursement and opportunities for flexible work schedules, Commonwealth is focused on helping its employees thrive in an environment suited to their needs. On top of all that, the New Accounts department offers a hybrid work schedule, so you’ll be able to work from home part time!

We’re looking for a new accounts associate to join our ranks. Does a fast-paced, process-oriented environment sound like just your thing? Is your attention to detail razor sharp? Can you multitask and manage different workflows? If so, this may be the perfect role for you! Our New Accounts team handles the establishment, review, and maintenance of a wide variety of account types and affiliation models. We’re often the first impression of Commonwealth for advisors and clients, as we work closely with them and other operational groups. We’re looking to build our team with the right candidate to help us provide indispensable service while having fun in the process!

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing quality assurance for retirement and nonretirement new account applications and advisory fee-based contracts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Establishing brokerage accounts through physical and digital documents for existing and transitioning advisors
  • Managing and troubleshooting issues that arise with client checkwriting and debit card accounts
  • Processing a variety of account maintenance functions (i.e., dividend coding, beneficiary changes, power of attorney additions, consolidated statement requests)
  • Acting as a lifeline for our Service Center and handling complex questions from advisors
  • Performing numerous internal departmental audits to help reduce Commonwealth’s risk
  • Working on special projects as needed

Core Strengths

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet goals, maintain efficiency, and meet production requirements
  • Organized, patient, positive, and ambitious
  • Exceptional computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite a plus
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including phone and email etiquette
  • Ability to adapt to changing workflows and regulatory requirements
  • Desire to have fun at work while being the best employee you can be

Have we piqued your curiosity? Can you see yourself thriving in this opportunity?
