This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except for within the States of Alaska, North Dakota, or South Dakota. Employees located within 50 miles of a BHN office will be considered a “Hybrid” employee and are required to come into the office 2 days per week based on office schedule.

Overview:

The Settlement AR Manager will ensure timely and accurate completion of critical, material and non-material receivable operations, as well as special handling partner issues.  The goal of this position is to not only guide day to day activities, but also streamline existing processes and create efficiencies moving forward.  The Settlement AR Manager will use his/her deep understanding of Settlement’s processes and systems to drive integration for any new programs and products into the settlement and accounting process and also to train and inform business areas of the standard processes.  Ability to think critically and work cross functionally to develop and execute creative solutions while keeping teams organized and productive, and management informed is critical. 

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of settlement operations analysts within the Settlement AR group responsible for reconciliation and collection of settlement transactions across various business units.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage the Accounts Receivable aging, metrics and team’s productivity to maximize cash flow and minimize losses to Blackhawk.
  • Create and publish reporting as needed; including team metrics, control review overviews, and period close findings
  • Facilitate the on boarding of new products and programs requiring integration into the Settlement accounting and/or reconciliation processes; partner closely with business and project teams to understand the need, create business processes to support the new recon function(s), and direct any system or configuration tasks that need to take place to support the implementation
  • Continually review business processes to create  operational efficiencies by reducing technical debt and spearheading the inception of new tools, access, and/or processes
  • Develop and mentor talent on the team to ensure sufficient cross-training and effective workload balance
Qualifications:
  • Minimum education requirement is Bachelors degree optimally with a major in Accounting or related field. Finance experience a plus
  • Minimum 5 – 7 plus years of experience accounts receivable collections and related activities, with a minimum 2 years’ experience dealing with key high profile accounts.
  • Experience working in a high transaction volume environment and ability to analyze and manipulate large data files.
  • Have general accounting knowledge like AR, AP and general ledger
  • Experience with ERP System, Microsoft Dynamics a plus, and ability to understand and adapt technology tools and systems that impact the AR process
  • Experience with Alteryx Analytics Platform, with the ability to understand implementation of program.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills. (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering best in class customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Possess a high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and resourcefulness in order to meet schedules and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Superior organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Team player who is adaptable in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced learning environment and has an ability to understand processes end to end.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Benefits:

Salary Range for all U.S. Residents (excluding Alaska, California, North Dakota, South Dakota): $81,660.00 to $110,250.00

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $89,620.00 to $121,000.00
