The work we do matters.
About the job
Since launching several years ago, our team has grown rapidly. We find ourselves in an exciting position to further deepen our partnerships within the government contracting space, to continue to attract and retain amazing teammates, and to scale our capacity to make an even bigger difference in the world.
Currently, our company is organized into three main groups: Executive Office (sets and operationalizes the strategic direction of the company), Human Services (focused on clients such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), and Defense Services (focused on clients such as the U.S. Air Force).
As a Talent Sourcer, you’ll collaborate across the company, working directly with the Head of Recruiting and hiring managers to build up and manage Skylight’s pool of qualified hiring candidates.
What you’ll do
- Understand Skylight’s current and future hiring needs
- Develop sourcing strategies for identifying candidates from diverse technology-related talent pools
- Contact and engage candidates to qualify them for technical and cultural fit
- Build a robust pipeline of talent using our applicant tracking system
- Act as a brand ambassador for Skylight by communicating and championing our valuation proposition in order to attract highly-sought-after talent
- Help ensure candidates have an excellent recruiting and interviewing experience, regardless of the outcome
- Continually keep abreast and drive the adoption of emerging best practices for candidate sourcing
- Engage in the continual improvement of Skylight’s sourcing strategies, operations, and practices, with a relentless focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion

- Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and develop creative approaches to sourcing and engaging candidates
- Experience and a passion for creating and ensuring positive candidate experiences
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter to conduct effective search strategies
- Experience ensuring the accuracy of data in our applicant tracking system (we currently use Greenhouse)
- Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of hiring and staffing in our professional services environment

- Experience working in a remote-team environment
Don’t meet 100% of the criteria but think you can do the job? We’d love to chat anyway! We’re on a mission to build diverse teams, and studies have shown that women and marginalized folks are less likely to apply to jobs if they don’t check every box.
