Healthcare Analytics Manager - Medical Economics (Healthcare Analytics Team)


The HealthCare Analytics Team is seeking a Healthcare Analytics Manager - Medical Economics to join our dynamic team in Arizona. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with the mindset of a Health Care Economist to help make a real impact in healthcare. The ideal candidate will have the mindset of a Health Care Economist and have a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field plus five years of relevant, professional work experience (or equivalent experience). Medicaid or Medicare experience working with healthcare data including but not limited to medical claims data at a medical insurance company or equivalent at a State or Federal level for these programs. What we really need is a manager who can lead the Healthcare Analytics and Data Governance teams to actionable insights. If you are excited about new opportunities and want to contribute to transforming healthcare, this could be the perfect role for you!


The Healthcare Analytics team translates Medicaid claims, encounters, membership and other data into consumable actionable insights via summaries, visualizations and recommendations. It also enables AHCCCS to make data-driven decisions to meet the AHCCCS mission of reaching across Arizona to provide comprehensive quality health care to those in need.


The Data Governance team establishes management and governance practices over the agency’s data assets. This includes championing data management and best practices in the agency and representing AHCCCS at the State Data Management Steering Committee.
