About the role
We are seeking a talented and visually oriented Mid-Level UX Designer to join our team. In this role, you will take the lead on designing and maintaining our main marketing site while also having the flexibility to work on application design projects as needed. You will be responsible for ensuring a cohesive and compelling user experience, updating and refining our branding guidelines, and recommending improvements to our design system
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Site Design: Lead the design efforts for our main marketing site, ensuring a visually appealing, user-friendly, and engaging experience that effectively communicates our brand and value proposition.
- Application Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design intuitive and visually stunning user interfaces for our applications, ensuring consistency with our brand and design system (not a requirement)
- Branding Guidelines: Update and maintain the branding guidelines for our marketing site to reflect the latest design trends and best practices, ensuring all visual elements are cohesive and on-brand.
- Design System Management: Follow our established design system while recommending updates and improvements to enhance usability and visual consistency across all digital products.
- User Research and Testing: Conduct research and testing to gather insights and feedback, ensuring that design decisions are user-centered and data-driven.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of designs and to advocate for best practices in UX/UI design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on marketing sites and applications.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant software.
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and best practices.
- Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and visual consistency.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to non-design stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in designing for technology-focused industries.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end development principles.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
This is part-time role with an expectation of 10-15 hours per week as an IC.
This role will be remote but this person should be local to the Bellevue/Seattle area and there is potential for remote if in PST hours.
The rate is $50-$75/hr DOE.
