Digital Diagnostics is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our growing team! The Senior Cloud Engineer supports our cloud infrastructure and site reliability efforts. Working in a team setting, the position will deliver cloud-based services for the development of novel machine learning medical devices and associated systems.

As the Senior Cloud Engineer, you will:

  • Work with software architects and Engineering leadership to design new systems or execute changes to existing systems from an infrastructure/solution architecture perspective.
  • Lead or participate in deploying updates or improvements as needed.
  • Lead or participate in support activities.
  • Identify performance and scalability bottlenecks in Digital Diagnostics’ global technical infrastructure.  
  • Identify and work to eliminate waste in cloud infrastructure costs.
  • Lead or participate in the development of procedures to deliver an “always on” infrastructure and creates appropriate documentation as needed.
  • Perform systems capacity planning to ensure adequate system resources exist to achieve business availability and production system targets.
  • Support the company Security Officer and team members to ensure that system infrastructure is designed and maintained in an appropriate way supporting industry best practices from a cybersecurity, compliance, and data privacy perspective.
  • Follow appropriate SOP’s and Work Instructions for appropriate work activities.
  • Help collect data for or recommend appropriate metrics related to system performance.
  • Conduct postmortem analysis to learn from system outages, downtime, and fix issues.
  • Actively participate and contribute to best practices.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Ability to quickly learn Digital Diagnostics cloud infrastructure and how it integrates with the overall medical device infrastructure.
  • Ability to support all aspects of Digital Diagnostics cloud infrastructures (AWS and Azure) including but not limited to: AWS - IAM, EC2, EKS, VPC, DNS (Route 53), RDS (also MySQL), Lambda (serverless) as well as Azure comparables.
  • Ability to support SSL certs.
  • Bring a team player mentality and a willingness to work when needed (on call, escalations, etc.)
