Lead Backend Developer

So hope this sounds like you. Because we are always looking for an exceptional Lead Backend Developer to work in immersive client projects that will challenge your abilities. Ideally, we need you to have business level English language skills and:

• 10+ years’ experience in backend engineering roles, with proven experience in Java.
• At least 2+ years formal people leadership experience including performance reviews, personnel management, interviewing and hiring, etc.
• Extensive knowledge in architecture design and modernizing legacy systems.
• Proficiency in conducting code reviews and mentoring team members.
• A robust understanding of emerging technologies and their application.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a firm emphasis on stakeholder communication and documentation.
• A bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  
  

Additional Notes

• AWS cloud experience is required.
• Container experience is required. EC2, EKS
• Focus on Java rather than Golang. (code base is in Java8)
• Google Guice
• DynamoDB
• Testing strategies for CI/CD among others
• Experience working with Monolith services at AWS
• APIs using Jabberd protocol.
• On Call requirement.
  
  

This role required a mix of skills between Engineer Manager and a Principal combined:

• Leader of a team of 7/8 ppl.
• Communication with main stakeholders, product, scrum master
• Run performance evaluations and 1:1, among others.
