As our Onboarding & Learning Program Manager, you will be a key thought and delivery leader in defining and delivering great learning experiences for new hires and current employees globally, enabling us to retain and effectively grow our employees. In this role, you will be responsible for delivery of company-wide onboarding experiences for new hires and leading program management of learning & development opportunities for existing employees. As a trusted leader and advisor, you will partner with other program managers, people partners, learning and enablement teams and key leaders across the business and withing the People and Culture team to deliver valuable learning experiences for Avalarians across the globe.

Lead Program Management Of Company-wide Onboarding Experiences.

Build strong relationships with senior leaders and cross functional teams to develop a deep understanding of Avalara's business and existing onboarding process.

Act as a subject matter expert contribute perspective, insights, and knowledge on how to connect our newly hired employees to all aspect of our culture and business.

Leverage experience and best practices to simplify, scale and drive impact of company-wide onboarding programs for new employees and managers.

Partner with regional teams and leaders to ensure a globally consistent onboarding experience.

Manage and maintain the necessary tools, platforms, and SLAs to support world-class global onboarding experience.

Establish comprehensive program schedules with all dependencies related to design, build and delivery phases of onboarding and employee development programs.

Onboard, manage, and nurture relationships with external vendors, project team members and senior leaders across the organization.

Drive end-to-end project planning and program communications - coordinate the work of internal teams and external vendors, create project timelines and implementation plans, assign, and track deliverables, report on progress, and effectively leverage team resources to meet project goals.

Champion efficiencies, automation, and the use of data to measure and track outcomes.

Regularly measure and analyze program effectiveness, highlighting areas of strength and opportunity for continuous improvement.

What You'll Need to be Successful

8+ years of experience in program and project management

8+ years demonstrated success leading onboarding and employee learning & development programs.

Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Experience and ability to influence, work in a global, high growth environment, and build cross functional relationships at all levels.

Demonstrated ability to show program effectiveness through measurable metrics.

Strong business partnering skills and professional acumen.

Ability to think and move quickly and manage difficult tradeoffs to meet deadlines.

Strong communication and the ability to paint a compelling vision.

Drive to create a positive and inclusive work environment for all.
