Job Highlights
As Senior Legal Counsel EMEA you will make key contributions to Envalior:
- Comprehensively counsel our Business Units Intermediates, Performance Materials and Specialty Materials
- Advise on a wide range of commercial agreements with a focus on drafting, reviewing and negotiating purchasing and sales contracts as well as cooperation agreements
- Support group functions and management in all commercial legal matters
- Provide advice on strategic purchasing and sales projects
- Anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems within the organization and develop strategies to understand and avoid or reduce potential risk
- Keep up to date with actual developments in legislation, regulations and jurisprudence
- Have a challenging role in the Business Units with respect to legal related aspects
- Drive excellency of the Legal, IP & Compliance team within Envalior through standardization and digitization
- Provide trainings on legal aspects to Envalior commercial teams and other functions
- Oversee and steer external legal counsel, where applicable
Requirements
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Fully qualified German or Dutch lawyer with excellent academic credentials
- At least 5-7 years experience in international law firm or legal department of multinational company
- Strong experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating of purchasing and sales contracts, preferably from manufacturing industry
- Business-fluent English, German and ideally Dutch
- Excellent understanding of commercial issues, ideally in the manufacturing/chemical area
- Ability, interest and willingness to act as business partner to quickly and efficiently find pragmatic and business-oriented solutions and to assume responsibility for the success of the company
- Ability to communicate complex legal issues and risks in an understandable way
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Team player with intercultural experience and good sense of humour
- Expertise in antitrust law and/or data protection law desirable
- Experience in implementing legal tech solutions advantageous
