Job Summary
Silvaco is looking for a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our Global IT Team. As a Network Architect specializing in hybrid cloud environments, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructure to support the seamless integration of on-premises and cloud-based resources. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the network architecture aligns with business objectives, security requirements, and scalability needs. This role demands a deep understanding of networking technologies, cloud services, and best practices to architect resilient and high-performance hybrid cloud solutions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES; include but not limited to:
- Design and develop hybrid cloud network architecture that enables secure and efficient communication between on-premises data centers, public cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and private cloud environments.
- Evaluate existing network infrastructure and identify areas for improvement to enhance performance, reliability, and security in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to implement network solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to industry standards and compliance regulations.
- Lead the implementation of networking components, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and SD-WAN technologies, to support hybrid cloud deployments.
- Develop and maintain documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications for network architecture, configurations, and processes.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of network designs to ensure they meet performance, availability, and disaster recovery objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to operations teams for troubleshooting network issues, optimizing performance, and implementing changes as needed.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in networking, cloud computing, and hybrid cloud architectures, and incorporate relevant advancements into the network design strategy.
Qualifications And Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (6+ years) in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures in hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong proficiency in networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and SDN.
- Hands-on experience with cloud networking services and technologies, such as VPCs, Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, and Cloud VPN.
- In-depth knowledge of network security principles and best practices, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, and access control.
- Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) solutions and orchestration tools, such as Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, or OpenStack.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
- Relevant certifications, such as CCNP, CCIE, AWS, or Azure are a plus.

The
US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-175,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.
Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
