Job Title: Mathematics Specialist
Overview:
We are seeking highly skilled individuals with a strong background in mathematics and excellent
English verbal/writing skills to join our team as Mathematics Specialists. The ideal candidates
will have a passion for mathematics and the ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts to
solve complex problems across various domains.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Creating questions and answers for the given set of mathematics related topics, themes or concepts. It will also involve, creating/writing advanced mathematical equations using the LatEx format.writing properly worded justifications explaining your approach/thought process
for the content created.
Content Evaluation: Evaluating advanced mathematics-related content on different
quality parameters like accuracy, comprehensiveness, relevance, verbosity, etc.
Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis using advanced
mathematical techniques to solve complex problems in areas such as pure mathematics,
applied mathematics, and computational mathematics.
Algorithm Development: Design and implement algorithms for optimization, numerical
analysis, data analysis, and machine learning applications.
Problem Solving: Apply advanced mathematical principles and techniques to solve
real-world problems, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate and communicate with cross-
functional teams including engineers, analysts, and program managers to develop
innovative solutions like Large Language Models (LLMs), etc.
Education and Training: Provide guidance and training to junior team members,
interns, and stakeholders on mathematical concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of
mathematics, attend conferences, participate in workshops, and contribute to academic
research.
RequirementsQualifications:
- Education
- PhD degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Mathematics,
or related fields with up to a maximum of 1 year of work experience (any
field or preferred relevant field),
- College:
- Tier 1 colleges only (government or a reputable agency approved tiers to be
used)
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in the English language.
- Proficiency in Google sheets/docs, MS Excel, and Google Chrome.
- Quick learner with respect to the latest technologies, applications, work tools, etc.
- Strong proficiency in advanced mathematical theories and concepts including calculus,
algebra, geometry, differential equations, and mathematical modeling, etc.
- Proficiency in mathematical computing and algorithm development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical/critical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex mathematical concepts
to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in evaluating mathematical equations and analyzing best steps to
solve.
- Familiarity with mathematics education standards and frameworks.
- Prior research experience, publications, or contributions to open-source projects in
mathematics are desirable for candidates with advanced degrees.
- Teaching background is preferred.
