We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Logistics Specialist (Outbound and Planning) to join our Traffic team in Aldergrove, BC.  
 

Reporting to the Manager, Outbound Logistics, you will be responsible for working with a team to build efficient and cost-effective routes for stock/product shipments to Pattison Food Group retail stores and B2B Partners. You will work with various departments and partners (both internal and external) utilizing a Transportation Management System (TMS) to ensure the company’s service standards are met.


You will be responsible for:

  • Building efficient and cost-effective routes for shipments to retail stores to meet PFG’s service requirements, using the transportation management system.

  • Tendering shipments to carriers, monitoring on-time delivery, and communicating issues or changes to loads to warehousing, carriers, purchasing and retail stores.

  • Working with internal and external business partners to assist in resolving various carrier, vendor, purchasing and warehousing daily challenges.

  • Supporting the maintenance and preparation of KPI’s and reports.

  • Occasionally coordinating with other business units to provide Logistics support related to new initiatives, ad-hoc needs, and promotions

  • Processing freight claims, assisting on store billing issues, and preparing carrier payables for processing.

You have:

  • Experience and/or education in logistics, operations, or supply chain.

  • Knowledge or familiarity of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or Supply Chain Management applications is an asset.

  • Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office (specifically Excel, Teams, and Outlook)

  • Must be able to make a start time of 4 am including partial weekends and occasional holidays.

  • Must have reliable transportation; the office is not serviced by public transit.

This position is based at the Pattison Food Group office in Aldergrove, BC., While we’re currently operating with a hybrid work-from-home and in-office schedule, we look forward to the day when we are all able to work together in the office again.

Compensation Details:

$55,600.00 - $69,500.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
