IT Enterprise Architect

Newton Vision Corp is seeking an IT Enterprise Architect to join our growing team in Colombia. This is a fully remote open-ended, long-term contract role.

The ideal candidate will:

• Strong technical background in the Microsoft domain with cloud experience but also has experience in other technologies such as Java
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Active Directory, etc.
• Knowledge of Microsoft development tools and frameworks such as .NET, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, etc.
  
• Have a strong background in enterprise architecture as well as a strong technical acumen
• Able to communicate in English as needed

Responsibilities:

• Drives the business and technical architectural vision of the enterprise.
• Proposes new technologies, new technical and architectural strategies, and new processes to meet business challenges, in full consideration of their costs and benefits. Provides insights and new ways of looking at the business and technology that contribute to the strategic plans and directions of the enterprise.
• Develops highly sophisticated technology plans to support the business that requires the integration of multiple domains, addressing the interrelationships of multiple systems, and serving diverse clients.
• Define and maintain architectural standards and principles.
• Establishes systems to monitor compliance with architectural standards and to ensure technical integrity.
• Directs and leads the architectural elements of large projects or projects that are highly critical to the future of the organization. Consistently leads projects in a self-motivated and self-guided way.
• Leads strategic architecture planning; drives and determines architectural standards for the organization.
• Provides recommendations for investment in new products and technology solutions, supported by appropriate ROI, total cost of ownership, and/or cost benefit analyses partnering with NVC leadership and colleagues.

What You Offer:

• Over 10+ years of relevant experience in software architecture, working in all sizes of environments.
• Experience in developing, rolling out and governance of enterprise architecture activities in large organizations, preferably a global or multi-region organization
• Experience in dealing with various local technology leads and their line architects to adopt and conform to the enterprise architecture practice
• Experience in articulating business cost benefits of various architecture activities to senior stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
• Ability to seamlessly communicate with all levels of employees
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
