Client Location/timezone: California, US Pacific timezone
Schedule: Full-time position from Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Pacific Time, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.


Job Summary:  We are seeking a proactive and analytical Market Research and Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing valuable insights and data to support business decisions and identify potential market opportunities. This role requires a keen understanding of our business needs, the ability to source and interpret complex information, and the creativity to uncover non-traditional data that can drive strategic investments. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for researching available government funding opportunities, assisting in the application process, and preparing proposals to approach new potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, including market reports, industry publications, and financial data.
  • Develop comprehensive market analysis reports that highlight trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Support investment decisions by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Identify and utilize non-standard data sources to enrich the analysis and provide unique perspectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and ensure research efforts align with strategic goals.
  • Present findings and insights to management in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to keep the company informed of potential impacts.
  • Research available government funding opportunities relevant to our business.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of applications for government funding and grants.
  • Maintain a database of market and business intelligence information for ongoing reference and analysis.
  • Prepare detailed and compelling proposals to approach new potential clients, showcasing our value proposition and aligning with their needs.
  • Think creatively and independently to develop new methods for obtaining and analyzing relevant information.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in market research, business intelligence, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent research skills, with the ability to find and utilize diverse information sources.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, SPSS).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to research.
  • Ability to work independently and think critically.
  • Experience in researching and applying for government funding and grants is preferred.
  • Proven experience in preparing business proposals and approaching potential clients.
