Job description

The Director of Employee Communications will be responsible for spearheading the development and execution of RealPage’s corporate communications strategy. Ideal candidates will have experience in high-growth, transformative environments that require strong change management communication strategies and execution. This highly visible role requires close collaboration with the CEO, the executive leadership team and their organizations to define, build and execute best-in-class internal communications.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and drive the strategic internal corporate communications strategy and execution plan across RealPage.
  • Manage RealPage’s corporate philanthropy program, RealPage Cares in working closely with non-profit partners in the U.S., India and the Philippines.
  • Partner closely with RealPage’s supporting PR and employee communications agencies to ensure they have a defined scope of work and have access to the information they need to successfully promote RealPage.
  • Directly support the communications needs of the CEO and the executive leadership team, including but not limited to: org announcements, broadcast messages, town hall presentations, employee & customer events, etc.
  • Build a scalable internal corporate communications function – including building structure, processes and policies and playbooks to modernize and optimize the impact of the communications team
  • Enable internal stakeholders on RealPage’s transformation, purpose, values, culture, and voice
  • Maintain open and ongoing communication to exchange relevant information with senior management, other business units to effectively manage and modify communication programs; serve as designated point person in all aspects of communications to ensure message continuity, clarity and accuracy
  • Collaborate effectively across functions and teams, cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including marketing, business leads, legal, finance, operations, etc.
  • Engage as a member of important teams – from Mergers and Acquisitions to the Incident Management Team

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in journalism, public relations, marketing or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years senior level corporate communications experience



Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Must be flexible and able to work extended hours
  • Willingness to adjust to change and reconsider position considering new information
  • Ability to motivate and train employees as required
  • Previous experience with technology company or agency experience with technology companies desired
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate team members and stakeholders, manage multiple projects within strict time frames, and meet set deadlines
  • Visionary thinker, creative project manager, excellent writer, and communicator
  • Proven experience building and enabling an enduring culture of communications within large, complex organizations
  • Strong communications skills and ability to provide counsel and recommendations to senior executives
