We are actively seeking a Sr. Director, Pricing Strategy. This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the U.S.

Position Summary

As the Sr. Director, Pricing Strategy, you will optimize pricing strategies to enhance profitability and competitive positioning for Rimini Street. You will conduct market analysis, develop pricing models, and implement pricing policies in collaboration with Product Management, Product Marketing and Revenue Operations.

You will research and assess market dynamics across all Rimini Street products and services, understand competitor strategies and positions, and develop optimized packaging and pricing strategies to ensure Rimini Steet attracts new clients while achieving profitability goals.

In this role you will ensure that all defined pricing policies and guidelines are well defined and properly deployed throughout the organization, including the development of pricing calculators and tools to drive consistency and accuracy.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a master of pricing strategy, including positioning, market assessment, packaging, and promotion. You will also need to work closely with Marketing, Sales, Revenue Operations and Pre-Sales to pricing strategies are continuously assessed and improved.

This position reports to the Chief Product Officer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing pricing strategies that enhance profitability
  • Working closely with other teams to closely track movements in costs
  • Monitoring and reporting on pricing performance and competitiveness
  • Analyzing price change requests from the sales team by evaluating margin impact, potential incremental volume, and competitor price levels
  • Assist in creating promotional campaigns, and conducting pricing optimization and cost-benefit analysis
  • Developing pricing proposals for new products and services
  • Tracking market trends and keeping up to date on prices set by competitors
  • Collaborating with product, sales, and finance teams on pricing decisions
  • Staying updated with pricing best practices and market dynamics

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, Masters or MBA desirable.

Location

  • Remote - U.S. 

Experience

  • 10-15+ years of pricing strategy experience within the technology and enterprise software markets

Skills

  • Expert in pricing strategy and management across the enterprise IT and especially cloud space, including positioning, market assessment, packaging, and promotion
  • Strong track record of influencing colleagues and executives
  • Ability to develop simple solutions and guide your team to be more effective and productive
  • Outstanding data analysis skills and knowledge to make data-driven business decisions
  • Experienced working with sales leadership and field sales to support and enhance the overall sales process
  • Excellent oral/public speaking and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information and concepts across a variety of audiences
  • Experience working with remote teams is a plus
  • Experience in a matrixed organization is a plus
  • Previous entrepreneurial / startup experience a plus
  • Experience with enterprise software and services ecosystem

Compensation is based on role, location, and level of applicable experience. 

Rimini’s target pay for each position is available upon request during the applicant’s Interview process.

The general salary range for this type of role is 173k - 217k depending on skills and experience.
