IFT Account Manager, New Business

Key Purpose Statement

 

As IFT (Independent Free Trade) Account Manager New Business, you will be responsible for driving the Asahi Direct free trade sales strategy within London with a specific focus on managing and developing relationships with new customers to meet the company’s strategic sales plans. Key to this will be focussing on the continued development of a successful commercial and brand building business unit of Asahi UK.  

 

Key Accountabilities

 

The primary responsibilities of the IFT New Business Account Manager role within the Asahi Direct Free trade are:

 

  • Manage and develop relationships with new customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities, develop sales strategies, and negotiate new contracts to achieve planned revenue, margin & volume targets within the London region. 
  • To develop new joint business plans with outlets ensuring future growth.
  • To drive distribution of Asahi brands to all customers in line with the Company’s Objectives.
  • To build effective inter-departmental relationships and an understanding of the business to use the resources available to maximise opportunities.
  • To build great working relationships with 3rd Party Suppliers to maximise volume and profit opportunities.
  • To establish a compelling contact strategy and maintain relationships with all stakeholders by demonstrating an understanding of their needs and priorities. 

 

Experience Required

 

  • Proven sales record within major FMCG or drinks company.
  • Demonstrates strong account management experience. 
  • Able to demonstrate a proven track record in winning new business. 
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of delivering and managing several key projects simultaneously.
  • Structured selling skills demonstrated and can adapt these to a premium environment.
  • Can demonstrate an understanding of brand plans. 
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work on their own.
  • Is accountable for achieving results and takes responsibility for one’s mistakes.
  • Ability to present and communicate to a high standard.
