POSITION: Senior Systems Administrator
JOB Location: 208 S. Akard Street, Dallas, TX 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]
Duties: Collaborate with a cross-functional DevOps team to strategize and execute public cloud transformations. Design and test infrastructure automation processes through the creation of VMs, load balancers, and networking components. Lead incident management and planned maintenance activities, provide support to other teams, and resolve issues. Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders impacted by technology changes and developments. Facilitate post-mortem sessions to analyze incidents and implement preventive measures to avoid future occurrences. Develop and maintain infrastructure automation and application deployment code for hybrid cloud environments. Monitor system performance, conduct fault finding, and perform analyses. Document performance exceptions for further review and optimization. Support developers and QA teams through Linux and Cloud administration. Architect and manage Apache CloudStack infrastructure, ensuring its efficiency, scalability, and security. Oversee and optimize PostgreSQL database management. Design and architect internal SFTP flows and ensure secure and efficient file transfers within the organization's network. Manage NGNIX and Solace configurations. Work on highly available, fault-tolerant distributed systems. Work as a Linux and Windows Administrator. Work within a public cloud infrastructure. Conduct cloud deployment and scripting: Bash, PowerShell, and Terraform, and perform file-transfers using Connect: Direct and SFTP protocols. Manage infrastructure using modern technologies and DevOps principles. Utilize the following technology and software: IBM, SFG, Connect Direct, TCP/IP networking DNS, DHCP, VPN, Routing and firewalls, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, VMware, VMclusters, and VMs deployments, Solace, ELK/Foglight, Cassandra, Hybrid VMWare and Azure Cloud, HP BSMZ: Centralized Logging, and Systems Administration: RHEL and windows servers.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or two (2) years of experience in a related occupation managing NGNIX and Solace configurations; working on highly available, fault-tolerant distributed systems; working as a Linux and Windows Administrator; working within a public cloud infrastructure; conducting cloud deployment, scripting: Bash, PowerShell, and Terraform, and performing file-transfers using Connect: Direct and SFTP protocols; managing infrastructure using modern technologies and DevOps principles; and utilizing the following technology and software: IBM, SFG, Connect Direct, TCP/IP networking DNS, DHCP, VPN, Routing and firewalls, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, VMware, VMclusters, and VMs deployments, Solace, ELK/Foglight, Cassandra, Hybrid VMWare and Azure Cloud, HP BSMZ: Centralized Logging, and Systems Administration: RHEL and windows servers.
