Region Sales Manager

KSB GIW, Inc.

Reports to: Sales and Marketing, Region Manager
Location: Remote (in Tucson or Phoenix, Arizona area)

OVERVIEW:

As the Region Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in steering KSB GIW, Inc. toward growth, increased profitability and an expanded market presence. Your responsibilities will encompass directing the sales efforts within the designated regions (for Hard Rock Mining and Industrial Minerals) and creating strategic initiatives to penetrate the market and care for the core for the company. You will visit end users such as Maintenance, Planners, Project Managers, and Process and Procurement Departments to promote the products of KSB Mining and follow up current and future opportunities, while creating and maintaining relationships. You will be a part of the KSB North American Regional Sales Team and will support KSB GIW slurry and non-slurry products in the sales and services aspects of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meets and exceeds the sales budget on the region assigned
  • Works closely with Region Manager to determine regional sales strategies, goals, etc. to align with corporate strategies/goals
  • Facilitates coordination of company processes and communication for assigned sales territory
  • Visits customers in Hard Rock Mining markets in South Arizona and New Mexico, as well as the customers of Industrial Minerals in Arizona (Aggregates)
  • Provides sales market projections and additional reports that support the achievement of regional sales targets
  • Guarantees adequate coverage of current markets and identifies opportunities for growth within the current and future customers
  • Oversees all facets of sales within the assigned region by encompassing end-users, contractors and architectural/engineering levels
  • Conducts, plans, and organizes trainings with end-user related pumps and systems and focuses on maintenance of KSB Mining products
  • Cultivates customer relationships by assisting in the creation of blanket orders, stocking programs to facilitate current and future business prospects, scrap buy-back initiatives, and more
  • Effectively employs company tools to ensure thorough follow-up on all active quotations, obtaining their status and actively pursuing the closure of sales
  • Conducts scheduled sales and service visits to both prospective and current clients
  • Identifies potential growth areas and appoints dealers within the region to expand KSB business opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Business or Engineering AND a minimum of five years of capital goods sales experience, preferably in the slurry pumping industry
  • Familiarity with mining, utilities, industrial minerals, and EPC companies
  • Expertise in slurry and non-slurry pumps and fluid handling
  • Experience in sales and work with end-users in mining especially in Arizona and New Mexico, experience in aggregates is desired
  • Good skill in communications and familiarity with SAP, C4C and MS
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishment in manufacturing sales achievements

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position will serve as a liaison between the business and customer, so frequent/regular customer visits (60% - 70% of the role) will be required to maintain a strong working relationship. While not at the customer site, this position will be remote from a home office.
  • 70% of travel time will be allocated for the Hard Rock Mining segment, while the remaining 30% will be reserved for Aggregates.
