Job description

Our client, a European based bakery company, is looking for a new Retail Key Account Manager. The company holds international certifications such as IFS, BRC, and HACCP, ensuring high standards in food safety and quality. As part of its growth strategy, our client is expanding its presence in Germany.

Job Description:

  • Implementing sales plans in the German retail market
  • Working directly with retail chains - setting commercial terms and conditions, conducting negotiations
  • Acquiring new clients and maintaining good relationships with current business partners
  • Analyzing the market and competition and seeking new developments
  • Collaborating with the Production Department and the Quality Department
  • Reporting to the Sales Director


Requirements:

  • Proven successful minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience working with retail chains (e.g., Edeka, Rewe)
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Very good knowledge of the private label market
  • Highly developed skills in independent and complex project management
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Very good verbal and written German language skills
  • Additional knowledge of English will be welcome
  • Driving license

Our client is looking for a German native who knows the market very well and has experience selling to retailers, preferably with knowledge of competitors. Polish language skills are a plus.
