Core Responsibilities
- What You’ll Do:
- Design and build out reference architectures for multiple systems of interest including autonomy systems, mission systems, and weapon systems.
- Lead the development of system engineering models and artifacts to capture key design decisions
- Work with various customers to refine stakeholder needs and deliver MBSE related products
- Collaborate and network with government and industry partners to solve complex problems and set standards for system design and development.
- Work to develop internal development processes, documentation, product management schemes and data tracking strategies
- Brief customers, industry partners and senior leaders on MBSE developments
Qualifications
- Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, or Science
- 2+ years hands on experience in systems engineering with model-based tools
- Required Qualifications:
- Experience with modeling tools including Cameo, Magic Draw, and Teamwork Cloud
- Fluent with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Modeling Lanaguage (UML)
- SEMP/TEMP Development
- Requirements Development/Traceability
- Logical, Physical, and Functional System Design
- Interface Design and Specification
- Use Case and Behavior Design
- Technical Briefing
- Microsoft Office & SharePoint
- Preferred Education:
- MS in Systems Engineering
- 5+ years hands-on experience developing systems engineering models for complex systems

What will it be like to work at EpiSci? As an engineer at EpiSci, you’ll work closely with a team of diversely skilled engineers to innovate software solutions to complex problems related to networked collaborative autonomous systems. You’ll attend the occasional project briefing and regular stand-ups, but mostly you’ll be focused on writing the code necessary to level up US defensive capabilities; you’ll be asked to travel to on-site demonstrations of these integrated solutions. You’ll develop cool things that you’ll get to test with cool people in cool places.
