The Cloud Software Engineer will be responsible for helping to design, develop and maintain Syniti’s cloud products. We use a myriad of technologies and have both on-premises enterprise and cloud native software. The ideal candidate is a hands-on platform builder with significant experience in developing scalable cloud software and will be involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle from working with stakeholders through directing, enabling and developing successful implementations.

Our engineering teams are responsible for building, deploying and operating their own services, and the successful candidate will be enabled to gain hands-on experience with a variety of modern CI/CD tooling, external Cloud service providers, and database technologies. There is a lot of room within our teams to work in different disciplines and areas of Cloud/SaaS products.

This role has been designated as a Remote position allowing qualified talent throughout the listed country to be considered for the opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and deliver software to improve the availability, reliability, scalability, security, resiliency, and efficiency of a service.
• Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable and maintainable code.
• Utilizes understanding of DevOps and CI/CD technologies and software engineering best practices to influence design and implementation approaches and solutions.
• Participate actively in code reviews to ensure quality and distribute knowledge.
• Contribute to debugging and troubleshooting complete stack of services.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering, software development or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience building Cloud SaaS products for a SaaS company.
• Measurable experience in some set of the following programming languages: Go, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience working in front end frameworks like React or Angular.
• Must have experience working with microservice architectures, REST API development and/or event-driven architectures.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with AWS tools and services (e.g., EC2, SQS and S3).
• Practical experience with virtualization, containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenStack.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git/GitHub.
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work closely with team while remote (Slack, MS Teams, Zoom).
• Experience integrating observation tooling a plus.
