Distribution Sales Manager South

- based in the South-


The Distribution Sales Manager is responsible for the strategic account management and development of our Southern based Flooring & Accessories Distributors – for both GERFLOR and GRADUS.


Your role

  • Manage key distributors and their branches in the South of UK, incl. stock and sales analysis and rebate monitoring.
  • Train the area sales managers of the distributors and the instore teams on the benefits of Gerflor/Gradus product ranges
  • Proactively manage the Trade Counter visibility and POS presence
  • Align with our Area Sales Managers to enhance the need to pass-back orders to distribution for products attached to a dedicated product basket and this within clear pre-set guidelines
  • Track effectiveness of measures and actions initiated to increase sales
  • Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities
  • Closely cooperate with our Regional Specification and Area Sales Managers to streamline the sales process and ensure top-level customer satisfaction
  • Gathering market intelligence data to report back into the Marketing department which will help develop future strategies in this marketplace


Our requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of field-based sales experience within the building materials industry
  • Detailed knowledge of the UK building materials industry – and the role of distributors in particular
  • Good communication and negotiation skills on all management levels
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced MS Excel knowlege
  • A proven track record in executing successful sales strategies
  • A very collaborative and team orientated working approach
  • Good networking skills and the ability to develop long-term oriented business relations
  • Structured working approach and high level of autonomy
  • Willingness to travel
