We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will set up and ensure data quality controls are in place. Initiate  the development of a data governance framework that includes data quality standards, data security policies and mentors junior data engineers.

WHAT IS THE ROLE ABOUT? 

• Design, Implement and Maintain a Data Platform for Internal and External Customers
• Improve and Extend our existing Data ELT processes
• Closely collaborate and support data analysts, data scientists, and other consumers of Tourlane data
• Design and develop new tools to empower data-driven decisions
• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture
• Developing new approaches to data storage, evaluation, ongoing maintenance, and best practices.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

• Expert level knowledge in SQL, experienced working with relational databases and solid programming skills in Python
• Experience  with modern data modeling concepts and large scale data warehousing architecture
• Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and workflow tools like Airflow
• Proficiency in building and scaling, monitoring, and maintaining data pipelines
