We are seeking a visionary Head of Product Design who will lead the transformation of our core product interfaces, prioritizing user experience and accessibility. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic and supportive environment to drive high-impact projects. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of our rapidly expanding travel tech product design.

 

WHAT IS THE ROLE ABOUT?

  • Strategic User-Centric Leadership: Drive the strategic vision for design and shape the customer journey towards the future of personalised travel. 
  • Talent Growth and Development: Lead a team of 5 Product Designers, nurturing their creativity and efficiency in developing intuitive user experiences for diverse personas and scenarios. Empower the team by helping them prioritize, focus, and work efficiently.
  • Business Acumen: Understand how to leverage metrics, KPIs, and design to impact business goals and ensure design initiatives align with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excel in managing expectations, fostering relationships with senior stakeholders, and advocating for user-centered solutions while aligning with business objectives.
  • Systematic Design Approach: Implement new design systems and methodologies to enhance product experiences and solve complex problems. Expertise in integrating lean design practices within agile methodologies.
  • Collaborative Integration: Work closely with Management, Product, and Engineering teams to advocate for user-centered solutions, integrating feedback for continuous refinement. Drive initiatives forward with a hands-on approach when necessary.

 

WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

  • Design Leadership Experience: 5+ years in a design leadership role with a proven track record of employing user-centered methodologies in growth environments. 
  • Holistic Vision: Transitioned from individual contributor to leadership, adapt at designing for scale with a big-picture mindset. Can drive design initiatives that align with overarching business strategies.
  • Effective Communication: Outspoken, mindful, and eager to share knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous learning and open dialogue across all levels of the organisation.
  • Passion for Design: Views design as a lifestyle, not just a job, committed to excellence and impactful design solutions that resonate with users and drive business success.
  • Tool Proficiency: Mastery of design tools like Material Design, Figma, Miro, and Jira for efficient collaboration and project management.
  • Language Preference: Fluent in English and German or French, capable of effectively navigating multicultural work environments.
