Senior Dev Ops Engineer (Remote, Philippines)

As a Sr. DevOps Engineer, your role is to support and maintain the company’s internal and production systems, including helping out with release management, automation, system maintenance, and security and configuration activities. This can be otherwise described as a “build, deployment and infrastructure automation engineer”.

Your responsibilities include:

• Ensuring high availability of internal and production systems
• Ensuring that company and business unit standard server technologies (Linux/Windows) proper performance, optimization and capacity standards are implemented
• Implementing IT infrastructure and Engineering DevOps projects
• Developing and maintaining detailed and comprehensive documentation and diagrams
• Performing software deployments and releases.
• Participating in on-call coverage for support of systems outside of normal business hours.
• Performing maintenance during non-business hours and over the weekends.
• Helping resolve network issues in case of absence of existing System/Network Admin staff
• Assisting developers and QA Engineers in applying testing environment changes including making DB updates, property changes, and others.
• Following up with Developers to make sure Release Plans are updated properly.

Requirements

• Proficiency in AWS Cloud Computing Solutions is a requirement
• Experience with Terraform & Other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Tools
• Proficiency in Docker, Jenkins, Apache, TomCat, Wordpress, and Testlink
• Solid understanding of Networking, IDS/IPS, and SAN
• Strong knowledge of Server Computing with expertise in Linux & Windows Administration)
• Familiarity with Virtualization technologies including HyperV, VirtualBox, and VMWare)
• Experience in Encryption methods and practices
• Proficiency in VPN technologies such as SonicWall and/or OpenVPN)
• Awareness of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Standards
• Skills in DB Administration, specifically (MySQL)
• Experience with Cypress for testing
• Strong command line scripting skills in BASH, PowerShell, DOS Batch, etc.
• Proficiency in Source code management using GIT and GIT services like Bitbucket
• Development skills that employ/use the other applicable requirements, ex: not just navigating the AWS website dashboard but also using AWS in code scripts. Not just performing Docker click-drag operations but also creating and modifying Docker YAML files. Ability to automate or tweak IP tables through scripting
