John Howard Society of Okanagan & Kootenay has been supporting the vulnerable in the Okanagan community for more than 60 years with programs in community inclusion, restorative justice, shelter, and specialized housing. It is their housing division that is now seeking two regular part-time clerks to coordinate immediate staffing needs across multiple housing facilities in Kelowna.
Housing Services Programs require 24-hr staffing to meet operational requirements. Duties of a Short Call Staffing Clerk will include allocating and calling in relief staff to fill vacancies, utilizing a computerized staffing schedule, updating the schedule accordingly, and keeping related records and documentation. Working from home, this support role is intended to respond to absence notifications outside of regular business hours (Mon-Fri, 4pm-8am), on weekends and holidays.
