The Territory Manager Capital Laser Product Specialist is responsible for the launch and subsequent development of Coloplast’s laser capital and consumables for Interventional Urology, within hospital accounts for use in endo-urology (namely: lithotripsy, BPH and other soft tissue procedures)

Play a decisive role in the success of the positioning of the laser portfolio with customers.  The Laser Product Specialist will drive sales through deep understanding of customer needs, effective engagement of both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, presentation of Coloplast products, and negotiation of price/T&Cs, and training to ensure safe/effective use of the product during demo and on ongoing basis.  As an expert, provide technical / clinical and commercial support to the wider sales team.

Responsible for training of product characteristic and use in the operating room, supporting hospital to achieve safe and effective use during demonstration and on an ongoing base.

 

Job Duties

  • Meeting or exceeding Annual Territory Revenue Sales and Gross Profit Targets.
  • Organizing and planning territory for efficient and productive coverage by own initiatives as well as utilizing company's sales business tools.
  • Utilizing company's Promotional Programs, Financing Options, Placement & Leverage Agreements as well as other company resources to meet & achieve sales results.
  • Collaborating with existing Endourology consumables team to identify key opportunities
  • Completing and maintaining sales paperwork, CRM and other records in an orderly fashion and submitting in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Providing necessary and appropriate post sales and support service to customers including:
    • Installation assistance.
    • Training and in servicing on use and operation of equipment.
    • Troubleshooting problems.
  • Liaising between the company and the customers for up-to-date condition on pricing, service, and latest product release launches.
  • Ongoing and routine follow up with customers during pre and post sales efforts to ensure proper customer company relationships.
  • Continuous updating all customers on company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.
  • Acquiring, maintaining, and expanding knowledge of company's products, competitive products, clinical procedures, and the surgical market to better meet and serve customers product, clinical and service needs.
  • Representing company at trade association meetings to promote products and meet with key customers relative to progressing sales and associated business goals.
  • Gathering data for new and existing products to help Marketing satisfy market needs.
  • Performing all other essential duties as directed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 8-10 years of medical device sales experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in medical capital equipment sales
  • Ability to travel (60%)
  • Proven track record of success in selling to clinical and to non-clinical stakeholders, in the OR and outside
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office) and strong communication (verbal & written), interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience launching a new product to the market would be a plus
  • Strong clinical, analytical, problem solving and sales skills
  • Proactive/ takes the initiative, and able to lead clients and internal collaborators
  • Coachable and able to work collaboratively within a team
  • Experience identifying, qualifying clients, and converting the sale
  • Employees in this role are expected to meet healthcare customers in person at their facilities or healthcare systems; therefore, this will require completion of credentialing requirements that meet the access requirements of each healthcare facility or system.
