Job Title: Administrative Assistant - Content Formatting
Location: Remote (PST Time zone)
Salary Range: $800 - $1,500 USD

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM PST

NOTE: INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR POSITION
(2 Open positions: Full-time and Part-time)

Client Overview:

Sagan represents a company looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Administrative Assistant - Content Formatting to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language, relevant experience with content management systems, and a knack for maintaining high editorial standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Upload articles to WordPress.
  • Ensure proper headings and formatting are used in all articles in accordance with our editorial guidelines.
  • Download, resize, and upload images from Shutterstock.com.
  • Write image captions and alt text describing the images used in the content.
  • Collaborate with the content team to ensure consistency and quality across all published materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned related to formatting content in WordPress on the blog.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in WordPress.
  • Experience with Google Sheets and Google Docs.
  • Familiarity with Canva for basic graphic design tasks.
  • Effective communication skills via Slack.
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure content meets our editorial standards.
  • Experience with Shutterstock is a plus.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Previous experience in a formatting role.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices for formatting content.
