The Software Engineer - Devops Role
Join Qlik as a Software Engineer with a focus on DevOps in our Platform Engineering team, where you will play a crucial role in developing a Kubernetes-based platform on AWS. This platform will enable our R&D teams to efficiently develop, test, and deliver new features and fixes.
Your work will be instrumental in managing and maintaining our strategic Qlik SaaS service pipeline, automating service releases, and ensuring smooth deployments from development to production environments.

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:
- CI/CD Development: Develop robust CI/CD solutions for our SaaS product in an AWS environment, streamlining the development and deployment processes.
- Software development: Develop the code and maintain the Qlik's internal platform-engineering tool owned by the team
- Environment Management: Maintain a 'production-like' environment for service development and QA teams, ensuring high-quality testing and rapid feature delivery.
- Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with development and SRE teams to provide stable deployment solutions, supporting the R&D organization with expert guidance on our toolset.
- Problem Solving: Efficiently and professionally solve production problems, ensuring smooth and reliable operations for our SaaS services.
We’re looking for a teammate with:
- At least 3 years of programming experience in languages like java, GO, C# or equivalent, using json and yaml
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Strong experience with the AWS Cloud environment.
- Knowledge of the GitOps methodology and SaaS processes.
- Developing and managing CI/CD processes.
- Experience with process automation and scripting.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $110,000 CAD MIN – $132,000 CAD MAX per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package, eligibility requirements for benefits will be controlled by applicable Qlik plan documents and policies.
