About the role:
We are looking for a skilled React Native Engineer who will share his/her expertise to create the best app experience for users around the world. As a software engineer you will be responsible for architecting and building mobile applications, as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers, like backend development. This is a highly collaborative effort, so a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.
The Quest:
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve pixel-perfect mobile apps using React Native.
  • Work closely with product owners and designers to transform ideas into reality.
  • Leverage APIs for seamless integrations with the app.
  • Integrate backend services (player profile, currencies, live events, etc.)
  • Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
  • Maintain top code standards and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
The Skills:
  • 7+ years of software development experience with an object-oriented language.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Proficient with React Native development on iOS and Android.
  • Firm grasp of the JavaScript and/or TypeScript languages and their nuances, including ES6+ syntax
  • Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code.
  • Knowledge of functional programming.
  • Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts.
  • Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode or Gradle.
  • Live ops experience on projects.
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills.
Nice to have:
  • Experience with WebSocket API
  • Experience with native languages (Swift/Java/Kotlin)
  • Familiarity with Redux use for state management (redux-persist)
  • Game development experience.
    • Ideally, experience making games/mini-games using React Native.
  • Experience using webviews within React Native.
  • Experience integrating Ready Player Me as avatar service.
  • Three.js rendering experience.
  • Experience with automated testing suites, like Jest or Mocha
  • Notions of algorithms and algorithmic complexity
