Your missions

Job Title: Insurance Defense Trial Attorney
Duration: 90-day contract, start date ASAP
Location: Remote (must reside in Colorado, CO license required)
Payrate : $50/hr.

Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM CST.

Overview:
Join our legal team at Client where you'll represent our company and policyholders in complex civil litigation cases involving claims for monetary damages or compensation for personal injuries or property damage of mid to high-level exposure.

Responsibilities:

Legal Representation: Manage the entire legal process from investigation and discovery through trial preparation and court proceedings. Negotiate settlements when necessary.
Legal Strategy: Research applicable laws and case findings to develop effective legal strategies for all stages of litigation. Share strategies with claims representatives and insured clients.
Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with claims representatives and clients. Occasionally conduct training sessions for Legal, Claims, or other departments.
Communication: Develop and provide clear and unambiguous legal opinions, strategies, and recommendations. Draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, and opinions as required.

Requirements:

Experience: Membership in the Colorado Bar with a minimum of 2 years of successful experience practicing law. Experience in insurance defense is strongly preferred.
Skills: Ability to cultivate strong working relationships internally and externally. Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking skills. Persuasive oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge: Broad knowledge of insurance law and familiarity with recent developments in legal practice and related fields. Process-oriented with a proven ability to meet deadlines and stay organized.
Education: JD degree from an accredited law school.

Additional Information:

Remote Position: Work from home with proficiency in technologies that facilitate remote legal practice and reduce costs.
Preferred Experience: Experience in construction defect litigation is a plus.
