The Privacy Operations Manager plays a key role on the Company’s global privacy team supporting the design, implementation, and execution of technical and operational processes to meet privacy compliance objectives.

 

This position will report directly to the Vice President, Global Privacy Counsel & Data Protection Officer, based in the United States, and work closely and collaboratively with other members of the global privacy team. This is a remote role.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the privacy team’s ‘superuser’ for deployed software solution(s) supporting Dentsply Sirona privacy compliance program operations, to include development and maintenance of templates for Data Privacy Impact Assessments, Records of Processing Activities, Transfer Impact Assessments, data incident reporting, and other privacy compliance activities.
  • Assist the privacy team in responding to data incidents, to include maintaining the Company’s breach notification requirement register, maintaining internal documentation in accordance with Company policy, assisting with remediation efforts, and tracking related metrics.
  • Supporting and automating the Company’s response to individual privacy rights requests.
  • Maintain current list of managed website domains and, working with regional counsel, ensure cookie and other opt-in or opt-out consent mechanisms are implemented and operationalized to meet applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Working with the DPO and regional counsel, manage Dentsply Sirona’s registration filings with data protection authorities in accordance with applicable law.
  • Working with the privacy and compliance teams, develop privacy programs metrics to track and benchmark the maturity of Dentsply Sirona’s privacy compliance program.
  • Maintain the Dentsply Sirona internal privacy resource and awareness pages on the Dentsply Sirona intranet.
  • Conduct (or manage external resources who conduct) compliance assessments for privacy program elements at defined / periodic intervals.
  • Support and continuously improve processes related to third party notifications for restrictions to processing, updates to PII, requests for deletion, etc.
  • Support the design and deployment of privacy training and awareness campaigns.
  • Work with Company teams to document and update technical and operational security measures.
  • Additional privacy-related duties as assigned.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) required.
  • Relevant privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CHPS, CHPC, CISSP, ISEB) preferred, but not required.

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years working in an in-house or corporate environment, preferably in the privacy field.

 

Specific Knowledge / Skills:

  • Proficiency in data mapping, inventory management, and data flow analysis
  • Knowledge of information technology and data management systems
  • Knowledge of the OneTrust Privacy Management platform, including its modules and functionalities
  • Ability to configure and customize OneTrust to meet specific organizational needs, and/or willingness to work with outside resources to learn
  • Ability to design efficient procedures to support business and compliance objectives
  • Proficiency in creating reports and maintaining documentation
  • Ability to analyze data privacy metrics and trends
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with legal, business and IT teams
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to respond to complex challenges with innovative solutions
  • Organized and detail oriented, with a high degree of ethics, integrity, and professionalism
  • Highly motivated self-starter willing to meet strict deadlines and time constraints; must possess a positive, can-do attitude and show enthusiasm
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and work as part of a team, able to build relationships across and outside the department
  • Strong change and project management skills, including time management and effective prioritization to manage competing deadlines
  • Must be fluent in English; foreign language skills strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (estimated to be 10%).
