About The Role

We are looking for a strategic and experienced senior manager to develop and drive a comprehensive global social media strategy and ensure its successful execution across all owned social channels, platforms, and geographic regions. In this newly created leadership role, you will manage a global team within our Brand & External Communications Center of Excellence that drives positive brand impact with customers, employees, and investors. The ideal candidate will succeed in leading social media within a complex, global B2B company structure that demands a highly collaborative approach. You must be able to manage team members worldwide, influence and spark change/progress, work well in matrixed organizations, and be ready to drive a strategic vision for the future.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive a comprehensive global social media strategy and ensure its successful execution across all owned social channels and platforms, including, but not limited to, LinkedIn, WeChat, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, TikTok, and potential additional platforms as they develop.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including an integrated agency team, to develop and implement owned social and influencer marketing plans to support brand communication strategies and business objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with organizational stakeholders to support business unit product marketing, campaigns, event coverage, corporate brand awareness, and community impact content.
  • Educate senior marketing and business leaders on the impact of the evolving social media landscape and how best to leverage media & marketing investments and new platforms to drive business results.
  • Develop standards, expertise, and best practices to inform and scale across platforms.
  • Build brand partnerships and activations rooted in compelling insights, cultural relevance, and delivery on brand fit and comms objectives/strategies.
  • Maintain a pulse on the marketplace, cultural trends, and current social media innovation, providing actionable insights and direction; drive thought leadership beyond the day-to-day.
  • Develop a strategy for using enterprise-wide social media management and measurement tools.
  • Partner with PR/external comms team to proactively oversee issue response and community management by detecting inflection points in social media that warrant attention; own internal escalation processes.
  • Manage, mentor, develop, and inspire a global team of social media professionals, providing guidance and coaching to support their professional development and growth.
  • Motivate and challenge the team to think critically and to deliver industry-leading ideas and services for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define and manage goals and KPIs for social platforms, ensuring they are being met and scaled.

What Your Background Should Look Like

  • 10+ years of professional experience, including working in a global corporate environment
  • Hands-on experience with leading social platforms in the U.S. and China
  • Considerable experience developing and executing multi-platform social media strategies through editorial calendars and tactical plans
  • Management experience leading a cross-functional, global team inclusive of account management, content strategy, planning, creative development, and interactive production.
  • A strategic thought leader with the ability to use data, platform performance, and critical social media trends to provide actionable insights and inform the development of strategies and plans
  • A passion for storytelling
  • Strong writing skills
  • An in-depth understanding of community management, content frameworks, editing/publishing, and creative best practices specific to the social media landscape
  • Expert-level attention to detail, along with strong organizational and communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leader with excellent people skills. Champions company culture
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research, dashboard creation across various social media platforms, paid and organic reporting, and Google Analytics. SPRINKLER experience is highly preferred

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $137,440 - $206,160 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
