About the role
As an Event & Marketing Manager, your primary responsibilities will include working with a leading IT vendor and their partners to provide comprehensive support in managing events and executing marketing activities aligned with business objectives.
As a stakeholder advocate, the ideal candidate will champion partners and stakeholders, ensuring access to necessary tools and eliminating roadblocks for program execution. Managing existing partner relationships is crucial, ensuring partners are well-informed, enabled, and actively driving actions to grow their revenues. Additionally, supporting partner-led marketing and demand generation programs will be part of your day-to-day responsibilities.
What you'll do
- Identifying new Opportunities-In-Partnerships (OIPs) with partners to increase sales and create long-term customer loyalty.
- Gathering insights from partners and clients and sharing them with internal teams, including Sales and Product to inform strategies and improve outcomes.
- Developing a specialization and being seen as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Sharing insights with both clients and other colleagues.
- Sharing relevant case studies and success stories.
- Advising partners and junior colleagues on marketing best practices.
- Coaching and developing other team members.
- Contributing at a line of business level rather than just project level.
- Supporting the delivery of other accounts and supporting and coaching colleagues from other teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in an Event and Marketing management role.
- Experience in the technology sector, preferably in software, data, or cloud.
- Experience in managing events end-to-end (framework, operational, and logistics).
- Exposure to partner/channel marketing and/or account management.
- Comfort and familiarity with serving as a marketing subject matter expert.
- Experience in planning, managing, and executing marketing plans and campaigns.
- High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
- Proactivity and ability to navigate ambiguity. You won't always have a clear solution at hand; we expect the successful candidate to employ critical thinking, demonstrate courage, and innovate when necessary.
- Experience liaising with third-party agencies. Understanding of MDF programs and processes is preferred.
- Good knowledge of marketing best practices (e.g., email marketing, SEO, SEA, social networks, display advertising, video production).
- Understanding of offline marketing campaign types (e.g., events, telemarketing, print advertising, sponsoring, incentives).
- Excellent client liaison skills. Ability to react and respond in a timely and effective manner.
- Experience with C-level messaging and Account-Based Marketing (ABM).
- Demonstrated experience juggling multiple priorities, successful time management, and balancing competing priorities. · Strong MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel & reporting tools with the ability to present information consistently and professionally.
- Familiarity with Independent Software Vendors (ISV) and System Integrators (SI).
