Job Description

The Business Development Senior Director serves at a leadership level on the Agency BD CE team, with primary responsibilities as a partner on complex and large RFIs/RFPs, working closely with a pitch lead. In addition, the role is responsible for independently leading large internal initiatives to fuel growth, managing a small group to achieve goals. As a management position, the role focuses on leading with EQ, developing and motivating others, and helping teams overcome challenges to find new and novel solutions together. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop best-in-class content – creating net new, curating, and shaping – for RFIs, RFPs and pitch presentations
  • Serve as a thought partner and agency content expert on RFIs/RFPs; shape key RFI/RFP briefing and key pitch process documents to set the team up for success
  • On large RFPS, partner with response team to ensure that all day-to-day workflows and activities address the client ask; rolling up your sleeves to ensure that the team delivers quality at every stage of the bidding process
  • Travel to support pitch leads on large-scale pitch presentations, as needed
  • Independently lead specific RFI/RFP written responses, successfully enabling a small team to deliver best-in-class proposals
  • Proactiveness offering points of view and critical thinking when it comes to our business, industry, clients, and our opportunities; keeping a pulse on news and trends while offering proactive ideas to strengthen quality, efficiency and growth
  • Independently lead key internal, cross-functional growth initiatives – shaping the vision and goals, proposing solutions and an approach while successfully leading projects through to completion
  • Oversee both short-term and long-term business intelligence efforts
  • Manage performance and reporting activities, analyzing information, synthesizing outputs and proposing recommendations
  • People manager, focused on skill development to continually up level our work, content, and quality
  • Train and enable other members of the team to deliver quality and upleveled responses; keep teams engaged and accountable within a fast-moving environment; help others find solutions to overcome any hurdle
  • Serve as an escalation point to help teams work through solutions together
  • Manage performance and reporting at various stages of the sales cycle, communicating and reporting on analysis, impact, and recommendations

  • Ability to lead teams while demonstrating EQ, strategic problem solving, and any pivots to meet goals while keeping others engaged
  • Learning agility; demonstrated growth mindset; obsessed with learning from situations and trying different avenues to find solutions
  • Strong sense of accountability and team responsibility
  • Minimum 10-12 years experience working within an agency business development capacity focused on AOR and DAOR advertising; large agency preferred with a strong command of business development process and agency services
  • Healthcare marketing experience necessary

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $119,000 to $160,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position.  Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).  EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
