Preferred candidates will have functional architecture and design skills along with experience implementing customer, metering, and billing solutions for utility (electric + gas) customers. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills with Oracle Customer Cloud Service (CCS): a full customer-to- meter solution. This role will provide technical and functional solution expertise, primarily testing, for a client CCS implementation. In this role, you will work with client business leads and system integrators to ensure quality assurance. Some work may be able to be done remotely.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be required to support hands‐on activities in the following areas:
· Assist in creating Test Strategy, Test Plans and Test Execution Plans for Oracle CCS
· Develop test scenarios, test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for in-scope tests as per Test Strategy
· Design manual and automated testing processes, testing plans, and test cases
· Execute test scripts
· Identify and test viable solutions to issues identified
· Work with the application and technical architecture teams to plan the unit, systems integration, user acceptance, bill comparison, reports, operational readiness and performance tests
· Identify testing environment requirements and tools
· Assist in review of the development process to ensure development package tracking (identification, fixing, re-testing and migration of packages) is properly addressed
· Maintain up-to-date, easily accessible and understandable testing results
· Review test and validation results to ensure that they meet the entry and exit criteria
· Participate in quality management reviews to ensure adherence to all quality management plans and standards
· Maintain record of test results and discrepancies using designated QA tools
· Provide feedback of test results to development staff for resolution
· Assess risk to quality based on results of verification and validation and make viable recommendations
· Participation in functional and technical specifications reviews (as required).
· Support the Test Lead to ensure tactical quality assurance.
· Assessing product releases that will occur during the project to identify impacts and validating content before implementation.
· Providing analysis and advice to testing, configuration and resolution to issues.
· Supporting the team with utility industry knowledge.
· Engage with ATCO employees, vendor and contract resources as needed in preparation and execution of testing.
· Assist business users to perform user Acceptance Testing
· Validate test results and address quality issues.
· Develop, update, and maintain testing standards and procedures
· Knowledge Transfer: develop and / or enhance instructions or job aids as needed
and through ‘on the job’ involvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for an experienced consulting professional who has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, and multiple business processes or technology designs within the Oracle product/technology family. You will operate independently to provide quality work products to the client, performing varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment.
You must have the following:
· 5 years overall relevant professional experience, including 5 years in consulting or with a systems integrator
· Utility industry experience is required, either as a full-time employee or a billable consultant
· Customer Information System (CIS) or Meter Data Management (MDM) design, functional architect, and or support experience on multiple full lifecycle implementations
· Oracle CCS and/or C2M certification
· Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is preferred
· Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with team members and clients
