The APAC CMS Quality Leader is responsible for leading all quality assurance and control activities to ensure products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to define quality requirements, establish quality control plans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:

implementing corrective actions
ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
Additionally, this role ensures compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and customer requirements, maintains accurate quality records and documentation, and represents the quality function during regulatory inspections and audits by external parties.
The APAC CMS Quality Leader establishes and maintains a supplier quality management program, including supplier qualification, evaluation, and monitoring processes, and conducts supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements..

Quality Planning and Control:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain) to define quality requirements and specifications for new products and processes.
Develop and implement quality control plans, including inspection and testing protocols, acceptance criteria, and sampling plans.
Oversee the execution of quality control activities, such as incoming material inspection, in-process inspections, final product testing, and packaging/labeling verification.
Analyse quality data and metrics (e.g., defect rates, process capabilities, yield) to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
Initiate and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
Conduct regular internal audits and supplier audits to assess compliance with quality standards and requirements.
Investigate customer complaints, product non-conformances, and quality incidents, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and statistical process control (SPC).
Facilitate quality improvement projects, including process validation, testing methods, and process capability requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, cost reductions, and quality enhancements.
Business process:
Establish a robust Quality Management System (QMS) for the APAC region, aligning it with global requirements while considering local specifics and regulations.
Develop a comprehensive Quality and Master Data Playbook, clearly defining ownership, processes, system operations, and troubleshooting procedures for each area.
Design and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all areas of responsibility, ensuring they are met through effective planning and execution.
Oversee quality and master data management for new raw materials and product extensions in the region, including developing quality specifications and process recipes.
Optimize workflow processes, focusing on cycle time reduction and accuracy improvements.
Identify and implement opportunities for total material cost reduction while maintaining quality standards.
Provide quality and master data inputs or recommendations to support the organization's roadmap and new business needs.
Represent the quality function during internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
Work closely with the Sourcing function to ensure supplier quality standards are being established and maintained.
Team Development:
Manage and develop a team of quality professionals, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organisation
Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to the quality team.
Quality Management System:
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) aligned with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and customer requirements.
Establish and document quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and control plans.
Ensure the QMS is effectively communicated, understood, and followed by all relevant personnel.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify compliance with the QMS and identify areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality records, documentation, and reporting systems to support quality assurance and control activities.
